One of my favorite vacation spots is the Hopfensee in Bavaria. The landscape is simply breathtaking and it is a true escape from the hustle and bustle of the daily grind. This picture was taken on a hot August evening a while after sunset. The very last light of the long European summer day was dwindling away.
You don’t normally describe a city as tranquil. Especially and Italian city. Yet, the evening that I took this picture was exactly that. It was spent strolling along the waterfront at sunset. There was noise, there were lots of people about, but the mood was tranquil and relaxed. And I feel this picture captured it perfectly.
It’s been about two months since my last post. I had a very busy but good two months. Now things have calmed down and I am happy to be able to blog again 🙂
Sometimes time passes by so quickly – like today realizing that we are already a month and a half through 2016. I feel almost shell shocked at how fast time is passing. But then there are moments where time slows down and you can take it all in – the sights, the smells, the sounds.
I love visiting places that hold special memories. While studying on my year abroad my parents and two cousins came to visit and we had an adventure in paris. We thought it would be a good idea to take a picture in the middle of the Champs Élysées. It’s not. As my mom was taking a picture, a huge bus nearly ran us over. You can see the bus in the background of the picture. Stupid, could have been dangerous, but in the end it was funny. Any time I cross the Champs Élysées, I remember that moment and the good times we had.
