We continued along in the Met, moving from the sculpture garden filled with realistic figures frozen in time to modern American art. Some intriguing and famous pieces in this section. This one caught my eye. I think it was the lighting combined with an every day object used in a way that is abnormal. Yes things hang from hangers, but not other clothes hangers. The piece is called Obstruction by Man Ray. It is a wonderful piece of art and worth seeing when visiting the Met.
I was surprised at how hard it was to capture this. The lighting seemed bright but I had to use a very high ISO even with a wide open aperture of 2.8. I wanted to have a narrow depth of field, but I was not able to get close enough and the hangars were moving a bit, which made it difficult.
