For Whom?

Continuing the afternoon in Zadar that the previous two pictures document, I turned from the street musician and walked further down the main road. Looking into an run down passageway at garbage cans, I saw these two mannequins. It struck me as incredibly odd that these were on display in such an out of the way location. For whom?

This picture breaks a few rules because it is backlit. The main subject, which I consider to be the mannequins are lit from the back and darker in the front. I do like this effect, as the passage is so dreary and plain. I think the lighting accentuates the oddness of the subject here. The trash is highlighted, the mannequins not, and why are these two together in the first place?
