I passed this window while walking from dinner one evening. The flower pots, each a different bold color, really jumped out at me. The whole window simply looked like something out of a tour book. This is something I enjoy about taking walks – looking around at the details a small simple gems around me.
This picture follows the rule of thirds. For those not familiar, it is a composition rule that says good composition is achieved when you divide the picture into vertical and horizontal thirds and position key elements at the intersections. It is a helpful trick and works well quite often – but not all the time. In apthis photo, the window bars divide the picture into thirds, with the flower pots at the lower left intersection of the lines.
