After the day in Krka National Park, we went to Šibenik, a medium-sized town on the Croatian coast. It has a number of historical and World Heritage sites. The city is partly situated on a hill on which a number of Mediterranean style apartments are located. This man was hanging his laundry from one of these apartments. It looked like something out of a brochure. I love watching people do something in a traditional way and imagine that my ancestors probably did their laundry just like this.
I was rather far away from this subject, who was quite high up on the hill. I zoomed in fully and cropped the final shot. I find it difficult to get a clear shot when zoomed in, the lens magnified any movement. Given the bright afternoon light, it was still possible to get a clear shot in. I think the contrast of the colors on the rather dull stone walls adds to this photo as well.
