Summer Grass

Summer Grass

I always feel a bit proud of myself when I take a picture that would look great as a desktop background. I am laughing as I write this because it sounds ridiculous. This picture is my current desktop background. It was taken in Novigrad, Croatia, on the grounds of castle ruins. The view was spectacular and there were a lot of more obvious things to photograph (which I also did). The wind was blowing through the grass and that caught my eye and drew me to take this picture.

The picture was simple, I was zoomed in at 73 mm with a larger aperture so it was easy to ensure the background was blurred. I made sure the composition was right in camera so I didnt have to crop. The evening light was soft, so there was also not much postprocessing adjustment required. This was an easy one!

Camera: Canon 600D
Lens: EF-S 15-85 at 73 mm
Aperture: f/5.6
Shutter Speed: 1/500
ISO: 100
Postprocessing: Lightroom
