Hermit Crabs

Hermit Crabs

Summer 2015 is now a memory, so I thought I would end with one final summer post. Summer always reminds me of the Jersey Shore, and what is more Jersey Shore than hermit crabs? I had hermit crabs as a child and always found these creatures fascinating. And although I now realize that it isn’t very humane to hold living creatures like this, they do bring back fond memories.

A photographer suggested that I put on lens other than what I would normally use and go somewhere that I had photographed often. I took his advice and set out on the Atlantic City boardwalk with my 55-250 lens on. I ended up taking quite interesting photos that day, this being one of them. It was good advice as you are forced to take a different perspective on things. I find being challenged often leads to creativity.
